It might not generally be looked at as the best game in the arena of betting, but keno has huge amounts of zealous supporters. And so it should! It’s a consistently entertaining lotto-esque game that’s easy to pickup, abundantly available in several different styles, and one that may return millions of dollars for players who master its numerous subtle intricacies. But let’s deal with the basic rules for now.
When explaining keno to newbies, some gambling masters compare it to lotto. This is at least nearly correct, in that both games are fundamentally numerical. Yet to take that comparison too far would be to underrate the endless unique traits that make keno so entertaining. Not like bingo, keno users have the ability to choose the numbers for every card.
Keno cards have a grand total of 80 numbers, but the player is given an increased degree of personal responsibility by being able to select as numerous (or as few) numbers as she thinks is appropriate. And it doesn’t take a doctor of keno to ascertain how to fill out a card: all you do is circle or otherwise mark all your handpicked numbers with a good oldball point pen like you used back in school.
Once you’ve picked your numbers, carry the keno card back to the keno pit manager at the keno booth. The keno pit manager will record those numbers and then give you a receipt. Don’t misplace this (potentially) lucrative bit of paper! Even if the keno pit manager remembers your loud shirt and would like to help out, without a winning slip with you, you will be given precisely $.00 for your actions.
OK, so there you have strategy number one: always be sure to keep your keno slip. Let us move to something a little bit more advanced, shall we?
Once you’ve checked off your numbers, get yourself into a nice keno booth and observe the action happen on a big video monitor. That is where the winning numbers appear for us. If you checked winners, mark your card accordingly. Sake care not to drag your feet, or sit there congratulating yourself for too great a length of time. You need to get up to the keno stand to get your winnings, and a new keno game will probably begin within a few minutes.
Strategy number two: always go back to the keno booth on time!
Since you can not trust yourself to make that 5 minute deadline each and every time, you always retain the option of buying a "multi-race" card. These include the self same set of your chosen numbers on anywhere from 2 to twenty tickets. When the maximum amount of rounds (fitting the number of tickets) is played, you are then able to get off your numb bum and go redeem your winnings.
Yet another alternative is known as a "stray and play" keno slip, which normally allows you make number selection for 30 keno rounds or more. Golly, you can take a Swedish massage and not have to fret about getting back in time to get your numbers. Most "stray and play" slips are good for up to a whole year after you by it!
So now you know a number of indispensable methods for winning keno. If you are an adept keno player, they may seem very obvious. However, it won’t hurt to study up on the basic practices, and if you are a new player, every little bit of direction will help make your keno betting more entertaining.
