Keno Tactics That Work

[ English ]

It will not ordinarily be considered the most fun game in the field of betting, but keno has massive amounts of zealous enthusiasts. As well it should! It’s a constantly entertaining lottery-esque game that’s simple to learn, abundantly available in tons of different styles, and one that may return millions of dollars for people who learn its innumerable subtle rules. But let’s deal with the basics here.

When defining keno to beginners, some wagering pros compare it to lotto. This is at least partly apt, in that each game is generally numerical. However, to carry that comparison too far will be to misunderstand the good many unique traits that make keno so fun. Not like bingo, keno players have the ability to pick the numbers for each and every card.

Keno cards have a total of eighty numbers, but the gambler is granted an extra level of personal responsibility by being able to select as numerous (or as few) numbers as he wants. And it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to determine how to fill out a card: all you do is circle or otherwise mark all of your chosen numbers with a standard#2 pencil like you used when you were in school.

Once you’ve checked your numbers, carry your card back to the girl at the keno booth. The person will record those numbers and then give you a receipt. Do not drop this (potentially) lucrative piece of paper! Even if the keno pit manager remembers your face and wants help out, without a winning ticket with you, you will be given precisely $.00 for your efforts.

Ok, there you have strategy #1: always be sure to keep your keno ticket. Let’s move on to something a tiny bit more useful, shall we?

After you’ve marked your numbers, get into a nice keno booth and observe the action happen on the keno monitor. That’s where the winning numbers are shown for all to see. If you checked winners, mark your card appropriately. Be sure not to dally, or sit there congratulating yourself for too great a length of time. You need to get up to the keno booth to collect your winnings, as a new round of keno will likely get going within not too many minutes.

Strategy number two: always go back to the keno stand on time!

Since you don’t trust yourself to make that 5 minute margin every time, you always have the option of using a "multi-race" card. These include the self same set of your picked numbers on anywhere from 2 to twenty slips. When the maximum number of keno games (fitting the number of tickets) is completed, you may then get off your numb rump and go get your winnings.

Another alternative is recognized as a "stray and play" keno ticket, which generally lets you make number selection for thirty games or more. Hell, you can take vacation to Italy and not have to worry about getting back in time to redeem your numbers. Most "stray and play" cards are good for up to a whole year after it’s purchased!

So now you have learned a couple required methods for winning keno. If you are a knowledgeable player, they might appear to be stupidly obvious. Still, it will never hurt to brush up on the fundamentals, and if you are a new keno player, every bit of advice will help make your keno gambling more fun.
