Keno Tactics That Work

It may not usually be seen as the sexiest game in the universe of gambling, but keno has millions and millions of steadfast supporters. And so it should! It’s a consistently exciting lottery-esque game that’s a breeze to pickup, readily available in a number of assorted variations, and one that will pay out millions for players who learn its countless subtle nuances. But let’s begin with the basics here.

When defining keno to newbies, some gambling experts compare it to the lottery. This is at least in some measure correct, in that each game is generally numerical. However, to carry that comparison too far can be to devalue the endless unique traits that make keno so interesting. Unlike bingo, keno players have the freedom to choose the numbers for each card.

Keno cards have a total of 80 numbers, but the player is granted an extra degree of personal responsibility by being able to select as many (or as few) numbers as he or she thinks is appropriate. And it doesn’t take a doctor of keno to figure out how to fill out a card: all you do is circle or otherwise mark all of your selected numbers with a ordinarymarker like you had when you were in school.

Once you have picked your numbers, carry your card back to the keno pit manager at the keno booth. The keno pit manager will record those numbers and then give you a receipt. Make sure no to lose this (potentially) valuable piece of paper! Even if the keno pit manager remembers your mug and would like to help out, without a winning slip on you, you will win exactly $.00 for your winning card.

Ok, there you have strategy number one: always be sure to keep your keno slip. Let’s move to something a little more advanced, ok?

Once you’ve marked your numbers, settle into a nice keno booth and observe the action take place on a big video monitor. That’s where the winning numbers show up in lights. If you checked winners, mark your card aptly. Sake care not to dilly dally, or sit there congratulating yourself for an obnoxious length of time. You must get back to the keno stand to collect your winnings, as a new round of keno will surely start within five minutes.

Strategy number 2: always be sure to get back to the keno stand on time!

Since you can not trust yourself to meet that 5 minute deadline each and every time, you always have the option of purchasing a "multi-race" ticket. These include the same set of your selected numbers on anywhere from two to twenty cards. When the maximum amount of rounds (matching the amount of tickets) is finished, you are then able to get off your lazy butt and go get your winnings.

Another opportunity is known as a "stray and play" keno ticket, which usually lets you make number picks for thirty keno rounds or more. Hell, you can take vacation to Italy and not have to fret about getting back in time to collect your winnings. Most "stray and play" cards are good for up to a whole year after it’s purchased!

And now you are aware of several needed techniques for winning keno. If you are a good keno player, they might appear to be very obvious. But it won’t hurt to bone up on the fundamentals, and if you are a new player, every bit of advice will help make your keno betting more agreeable.
